Children
Children’s ministries at Grace Community are more than just something to keep the younger crowd occupied while the grownups worship. Our community embraces the fact that God is working in and through these precious ones and welcome their involvement in worship and ministry. From the nursery and preschool ages where adult and youth volunteers are blessed to share the love of God and the stories of our faith to the older children and pre-teens who begin to take their place in community ministry through regular missions projects and working alongside adults in other ministry areas, the children are an integral part of our Grace family.
Grace Community Health & Wellness Policy
Nursery: birth – age 3
Here at Grace, we love, love, love our Grace babies! We want you to feel comfortable during your time on our campus, so feel free to keep your little one with you or to allow our Safe Sanctuary certified nursery staff to provide a loving, safe environment while you attend service, class, or events. Nursery is always provided for our weekend worship as well as many of the church and community events held throughout the week.

Grace Place: older 3’s – kindergarten
Between the time children turn three and finish the kindergarten year the change is astounding! Each Sunday morning our Safe Sanctuary certified volunteers work to create a loving, safe environment where our faith is shared through stories, music, art, and play. Nursery is provided for this age group during Sunday service, as well as most of the other activities held for the older children.

Grace Land: 1st – 4th grade
Our Safe Sanctuary certified staff and volunteers have the joy and privilege of helping our elementary school students grow in their understanding of God’s grace and what it means to live out their gifts. There are classes in Grace Land during all three-weekend services, GK JAM, (Grace Kids- Jesus And Me), from 4-6 pm Sunday evenings, and a variety of missions projects and fun activities throughout the year. Children have the opportunity to serve as acolytes in service, take part in special worship services, and participate in other areas of church life and ministry.

The Crossing: 5th grade
Fifth and sixth grade are years full of transition as our Tweens move from the children’s ministry into the youth program. The purpose of The Crossing is to help these not quite elementary yet not really teens navigate this time and begin to more fully understand what it means to live into their gifts as part of a faith community. There are multiple opportunities for volunteering with ongoing church ministries as well as special mission projects. There is a shared meal at 9:15 am each Sunday before splitting into classes for Bible study. Sunday evenings The Crossing has a hangout time from 5-7 pm where there are activities geared toward the exploration of our faith, the excitement of being with friends, and, naturally, the eating of food!
